Knee Supports and Braces

Knee braces are supports to be worn when you have pain in your knee. Some people use them to prevent knee injuries during sports. Braces are made from combinations of metal, foam, plastic, or elastic material and straps. With many sizes and colors Collins Medical is sure to have what you need.

Ankle Supports and Braces

An ankle brace is a garment that is worn around the ankle to protect it or for immobilization while allowing it to heal from sprains and other minor injuries. Ankle braces are used to immobilize the joint while providing heat and compression to the bones.

Elbow Supports and Braces

Elbow bracing is designed to apply pressure to the muscles of the forearm, taking pressure off the injured tendon. These types of elbow supports are typically made of fabric, like neoprene, and sometimes plastic for added support.

Hand/Wrist Supports and Braces

A wrist brace is a garment that is worn around the wrist to protect it during strong use or for allowing it to heal. Wrist braces are common accessories in injury rehabilitation processes affecting the wrist. They immobilize the joint and provide heat and compression to the wrist bones and ligaments.

Back Supports and Braces

Two types of back braces are commonly used to limit the motion in the spine: Rigid braces. Corset braces (elastic braces). Limiting the motion of the spine enhances the healing process on the bone in both conditions and will also usually decrease the patient's low back pain and discomfort.

Shoulder Supports and Braces

Shoulder braces can be worn to recover from a shoulder injury or to reduce discomfort. They range from ultra-durable slings that greatly restrict your range of motion to lightweight neoprene vests that protect your AC joint.

Neck Supports and Braces

A cervical collar, also known as a neck brace is a medical device used to support a person's neck. It is also used by emergency personnel for those who have had traumatic head or neck injuries and can be used to treat chronic medical conditions.

Smart Quieter Fall Prevention

Fall Prevention by Smart Caregiver™

Fall Prevention

Prevent Falls and Wandering

Bed Pad

Fall Monitors & Exit Alarms are designed to alert caregivers when an at-risk individual needs assistance – so you can get to them before they fall! The monitors feature Corded, Cord Free, & Pull-String designs to fit any application and are ideal for bed exit monitoring, chair exit monitoring and door exit monitoring.

Chair Pad

Cord Free Fall Monitors
The Cord Free Fall Monitors are designed for use with the CordLess® Weight-Sensing Bed / Chair Pads & Floor Mats. Sensor pads or mats are placed under an at-risk individual and when they rise to get up, a wireless alert is sent to the fall monitor to notify caregivers that assistance is required. Cord Free Fall Monitors allow you to place the alarm outside of the patient’s room and thus eliminate in-room alarm noise.

Anti-Wandering Solutions

This “All in One” Anti-Wandering Single Door Monitor System functions with just a Door Alarm and a Resident Wristband. Simply mount the Door Monitor Alarm above any exit or doorway in your care facility plug it in, and place wristband on resident.

When a resident wearing a wristband attempts to wander too close or through the doorway, the door monitor alarm sounds audibly and visually. The Caregiver can silence the alarm using the Caregiver Key™. This system can also be configured for use with the wireless Large Facility Central Monitoring Unit TL-2015R2 (sold separately) that alarms at a Nurse’s Station (or other location) and displays the doorway and resident that set-off the door alarm

Install in 4 easy steps:
1) Mount door alarm system, 2) Plug it in, 3) Put wristband on resident and 4) Test.

Heat/Cold Therapy Supplies

The Art of Using Hot and Cold Therapy....
You should never apply heat to a joint that is already hot, red, and irritated, nor should you apply cold to a joint that's stiff and not moving well.
Remember, heat helps muscles relax; cold helps to minimize inflammation and pain.
